We confirm the lake use permit number, the permit holder of record, and whether the structure as built matches the structure as permitted, before you sign. Covers Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, Mountain Island and Lake Hickory under FERC Project No. 2232, and High Rock under the separate Yadkin project.

- Buffer rules and how close to the water anything may be built
- Water depth at the dock, measured rather than described
- On High Rock, the annual pier permit renewal and the different licensee
Why this is its own service
A dock that was built larger than its permit, or whose permit sits in a previous owner’s name, becomes your problem on the day you close. It is the single most expensive thing people skip on waterfront.
